Michael Chavis Returns From The Injured List
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates activated second baseman Michael Chavis (elbow) from the injured list on Tuesday. He went on to make an appearance as a pinch hitter in Tuesday's game against the Chicago Cubs. He hit a single and drove in a run. Chavis was sidelined for about a month due to a right elbow strain. He was hitting well before the injury. Over just six games as a Pirate - following his acquisition from Boston - he slashed .364/.364/.591 with one home run, two RBI and four runs. He should see a good amount of playing time the rest of the way and could be a sneaky source of power for fantasy managers in need over the final week of the year.
