Daniel Jones (QB, NYG) - Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: Daniel Jones has been all around the board to kick the year off. He debuted to the tune of a QB14 finish, proceeded to play to the QB4 levels in Week 2, and lastly this Sunday he closed the game against the Falcons ranked 22nd among fantasy quarterbacks. Good, not great. But Jones has shown impressive rushing prowess and that alone--along with a somehow expected positive regression on the passing side of things when it comes to throwing touchdowns--should have Jones in all of our radars.

Jones has attempted at least 32 passes and completed 22+ of them in all three games he's started this year. The yards have not fallen behind the 249-yard mark on his passing plays, and the lone blemish in Jones' gamelog to date are his 2 TDs in three games. At least he's been able to keep interceptions at bay, as he's yet to get picked by a defense. Perhaps most surprisingly, Jones is rushing the rock with gusto: three games, 6+ carries in each of them, and 27-95-39 rushing yards in those matches respectively to go with rushing touchdowns in both W1 and W2.

As long as Jones keeps connecting on 68% of his passes (back-to-back weeks doing so) and adding interesting numbers on the ground, Jones should be rostered in most deep-1QB leagues, let alone 2QB/Superflex ones. Definitely not a lock to be seen as QB1 material, but a surefire quarterback to put up high-to-low-end QB2 numbers with upside for much more if he starts throwing for more touchdowns, which should happen as the year advances.
