EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Crystal Palace vs Brighton
Brighton (+150) have started off this year very strong with four wins in five chances. Their only loss came against Everton, and now they travel to London to take on Crystal Palace Monday. Palace got beat by Liverpool 3-0 last week and have not been very good to start the year. Brighton have some fairly poor recent history against Palace with just one win in their last seven meetings, but they'll look to snap that streak and continue their bright run this year. The goal total over/under is 2, 2.5 with the over at +100.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Neal Maupay ($15) has been really strong in front of the net. He has scored three goals in his five games and now faces a Palace defense that has given up nine goals already this year. Palace are allowing 5th most SOG/90 right now which bodes well for Maupay and other attackers like Danny Welbeck ($14) and Leandro Trossard ($10). Welbeck and Trossard are possible captain options if you want to get a little different, but they also make for great FLEX plays as well. Welbeck has three SOGs in his two starts and is +265 to score in this game.
For attackers fantasy-wise, Crystal Palace has been a desert. Christian Benteke ($11) has the best odds to score in the entire game at +230. He's insanely hard to trust, though, with just one double-digit game this year. He has no shots on goal either and those important attacking peripherals stats will be few and far between against Brighton's defense. The same goes for Wilfred Zaha ($12). He has just one double-digit game and his only SOG this year came on his goal two weeks ago against Tottenham.
I have a little more interest in Conor Gallagher ($14), but he is overpriced, which might keep me off him as well. I understand that you might need to take one of these Palace attackers to even make a lineup construction work. You can even go James McArthur ($9) just because he's the cheapest way to get a Palace attacker. His upside is minimal, but he does get some solid peripherals especially compared to his teammates.
Adam Lallana ($5) is way too cheap for this matchup. He's the best value attacker on the slate.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Shane Duffy ($10) is easily the best fantasy defender on this slate. He has attacking upside and gets defensive peripherals at a high rate. If you have the money to pay for him on this slate, do so.
Joachim Andersen ($5) is definitely not collecting defensive stats at the same rate he was last season, however, $5 is still too cheap for him. He could be popular as a punt on this slate.
Likewise, Lewis Dunk ($5) is also underpriced Monday. He has been down this year like Andersen, but this is a decent matchup for him. Brighton defenders also have a decent look at a valuable clean sheet bonus on this slate with how bad Palace has been in the attacking third.
