Ryan Yarbrough Yields Four Runs In Saturday’s Loss
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Ryan Yarbrough (8-6) allowed four earned runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four over six innings during Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers. He was tagged with his sixth loss of the season. The southpaw was hurt by the long ball and surrendered home runs to Jeimer Candelario and Dustin Garneau. After a rough first and second inning, Yarbrough bounced back and cruised through the next four frames. The 29-year-old threw 86 pitches, landing 58 for strikes. Yarbrough owns a 5.30 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 110 strikeouts over 144 1/3 innings in 2021. The Rays left-hander is scheduled to face the Miami Marlins at home on Friday.
