Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III is looking to make more of an impact in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 22-year-old Alabama product had just two receptions on five targets for 46 yards in Monday's 33-27 overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens as Derek Carr favored connecting with Bryan Edwards and Hunter Renfrow over Ruggs. Expectations for Ruggs were high ahead of the regular season, but his lukewarm performance in Week 1 has left a lot to be desired. With Carr appearing to prefer other targets at the moment, Ruggs' fantasy ceiling is low heading into Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.--Chelena Goldman

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller had 19 targets in the season opener, but he's averaging seven targets per game since Week 1 and had a season-low 24 yards on four receptions in the Week 10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Waller still has had no fewer than five targets and four catches in every game, and his 71 targets on the year are second to only Travis Kelce, but he hasn't had double-digit targets since that very first game. With wide receiver Henry Ruggs III now out of the picture, teams haven't been as afraid of Zay Jones or DeSean Jackson deep down the field and have shifted more coverage Waller's way. Waller will continue being a top-five fantasy tight end and the Raiders will continue to involve him heavily, and he has a nice bounce-back opportunity against a Cincinnati Bengals defense in Week 11 that has struggled against the position recently.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

The Las Vegas Raiders released wide receiver Henry Ruggs III on Tuesday following his involvement in a car crash that left a woman dead. Ruggs is facing felony charges of driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and reckless driving. He was released from hospital and taken to jail ahead of an initial court appearance scheduled for Wednesday. The 22-year-old suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening, and he'll face a sentence of two to 20 years in a state prison. Ruggs, a first-round pick in 2020, there's a chance that this horrific tragedy is the end of his NFL career. RotoBaller extends its condolences to the deceased woman's family and friends.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Updating a previous report, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III is being charged with DUI resulting in a death for his role in a car crash on early Tuesday morning that involved a deceased victim. The 22-year-old Ruggs was the driver of the vehicle. He remained on the scene of the crash and showed signs of impairment. Ruggs was transported to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. RotoBaller extends its sympathies to the deceased victim's family in this terrible situation. This is an ongoing investigation, but Ruggs will obviously be facing jail time and may never play another down in the NFL.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was involved in a serious car accident early Tuesday morning, according to TMZ. Ruggs' condition is unknown at the time, but there was significant damage to both vehicles involved in the crash. This will be an ongoing story on Tuesday, and we'll update the situation when he have more details on Ruggs' condition. Hopefully, the 22-year-old pass-catcher is OK, but there have been reports that there was at least one fatality in the accident. The Raiders are coming off their bye week and are set to face the New York Giants on the road in Week 9. Ruggs has 24 catches on 36 targets for 469 yards and two touchdowns in seven games this year. His yards have already eclipsed his season total from his rookie year in 13 games, while he's already matched his two scores from 2020 as well.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
