Evan Engram Still Not Ready For Practice
3 years agoAlthough the New York Giants didn't actually practice on Monday, they listed tight end Evan Engram (calf) as not participating in their estimated practice report. Engram was inactive for the Week 1 season-opening loss to the Denver Broncos, and he isn't on the right track to make his season debut in a quick turnaround against the Washington Football Team on Thursday night. Don't plan on having the 27-year-old for your Week 2 lineups. Kyle Rudolph didn't really benefit from Engram's absence against Denver, drawing five targets and catching only two of them for eight yards in the loss. If Engram indeed misses his second straight game, Rudolph shouldn't be considered a starting option at the tight end position.
