Cooper Kupp Shines In Week 1
3 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is probably buying his new quarterback a steak dinner after his impressive performance in Week 1. Kupp caught seven of his 10 targets for 108 yards and one touchdown on Sunday night against the Chicago Bears. Kupp led the team in targets with 10, which was a 38.5 percent target share, and had four more targets than anyone else on the team. Kupp remained a nuisance for the Bears secondary to deal with after the catch, as he was regularly turning short gains into big ones with his ability to create with the ball in his hands. Kupp will likely not command nearly 40 percent of the target share on a weekly basis, but he will be one of the top two players on the team in targets every single week, especially considering the fact he played all but one offensive snap. For that reason alone, he's a safe WR2 play with upside every week.
