Christian McCaffrey Totals 187 Scrimmage Yards
3 years agoCarolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey carried the ball 21 times for 98 rushing yards and caught all nine targets for 89 receiving yards in Sunday's win over the Jets. The Jets had no answer for McCaffrey, who handled his usual monster workload and looked every bit of the star dual-threat halfback he's been when healthy, as he now has seven games with at least 75 rushing yards and receiving yards, third-most in NFL history behind Marshall Faulk and Priest Holmes. If there were any doubts that the 25-year-old was worth the top overall pick in all drafts, he put them to rest with this performance. McCaffrey hasn't had any trouble staying healthy aside from the 2020 season, meaning fantasy managers should be able to pencil him into their lineups and count on his elite-level workload and production every week. He'll be an elite RB1 in Week 2, even against a Saints defense that was the toughest in the league against running backs last season in terms of fantasy points.
