A.J. Green Hard To Trust In Season Opener
3 years agoArizona Cardinals wide receiver A.J. Green draws a favorable matchup for Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. Green, initially the WR2 on the depth chart, has fallen to the No. 3 spot behind rookie Rondale Moore. It seems like a toss-up as to who will end up becoming the No. 2 behind DeAndre Hopkins, but we'll have a better idea as the season unfolds. Head coach Kingsbury and Hopkins praised Green during training camp, going as far as saying that he looks like his old self when he was in his prime. If Green comes anywhere close to the way he looked in his prime, he could end up being Murray's second-favorite target. Although running back Chase Edmonds will see a good amount of targets in Week 1 as well, Green needs to make the most of his targets to reclaim the WR2 position. Until he proves his health and sees a big enough workload, he'll be hard to trust in starting lineups.
