Latavius Murray Signs One-Year Deal With Baltimore
3 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens signed free agent running back Latavius Murray to a one-year deal on Friday. Baltimore's backfield is in shambles after the team lost J.K. Dobbins (knee), Gus Edwards (knee), and Justice Hill (knee) for the season. Murray was replaced by RB Tony Jones and later released by the New Orleans Saints after reportedly refusing to take a pay cut. The 31-year-old averaged a career-high 4.5 yards per carry and had rushed for 656 rushing yards with four touchdowns for the Saints last year. Murray will compete with veteran RBs Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman for a spot on the Ravens running back depth chart. Murray is considered the favorite to land the Ravens RB2 role behind starter Ty'Son Williams and should be added in all league formats.
