Danny Amendola Inks One-Year Deal With The Texans
3 years agoThe Houston Texans have signed free agent wide receiver Danny Amendola to a one-year, $2.5 million contract on Tuesday. Several teams were reportedly interested in signing the free-agent wide receiver, but he ultimately waited for the right situation and signed with Houston. The 35-year-old hauled in 46 of his 69 targets for 602 yards and no touchdowns in 14 games with the Detroit Lions in 2020. Amendola gives the Texans depth at wide receiver and a veteran slot presence. The former New England Patriot will be competing for a spot on the Texans' WR depth chart behind Anthony Miller, Nico Collins, and Brandin Cooks. Amendola doesn't have much fantasy value and is a late-round flier at best in deep-league PPR formats.
