Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. is locked in as the team's third starting wideout heading into a favorable Week 1 matchup against the Jets. The Panthers' second-round draft choice, Marshall excelled as a playmaker for LSU, scoring 23 touchdowns over his last two seasons with the Tigers. The big-bodied receiver had a standout preseason and could be ready for a big role in the Panthers' offense right away. Marshall is a bit of an unknown in redraft formats, as it's unclear what kind of target share he'll command in the Carolina offense, though he is worth taking a shot on in DFS formats. The Jets defense was a favorable matchup for opposing wide receivers last season, making Marshall a solid wideout to target for salary relief in DFS.--Tim Capurso

The Las Vegas Raiders have elevated running back Sincere McCormick from the practice squad and signed wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. to the active roster ahead of Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs. McCormick operated as Ameer Abdullah's backup last week, rushing five times for 33 yards (6.6 yards per carry). He could be active as the No. 2 option again this Friday if Alexander Mattison (ankle) isn't able to suit up. McCormick is off the fantasy radar in most fantasy leagues. Meanwhile, Marshall has played in just one game this season, suiting up for the Raiders last week against Denver. He played 11 percent of the offensive snaps but did not register a target. Marshall is off the fantasy radar in all leagues.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

The Las Vegas Raiders signed free-agent wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. to an undisclosed deal on Tuesday. Marshall was waived by the Carolina Panthers at the end of training camp and then latched on with the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad before being released last week. The 24-year-old former second-round pick by the Carolina Panthers in 2021 out of LSU caught 64 of 110 targets for 767 yards and just one touchdown in 36 games (16 starts) in his first three years in the league. Marshall will now head to Vegas to serve as receiver depth for a team in freefall after just trading All-Pro wideout Davante Adams to the New York Jets. Right now, Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker and DJ Turner are the Raiders' top three wideouts, with Tyreik McAllister and Alex Bachman further down the depth chart. Marshall can continue to be ignored in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

The San Francisco 49ers have released fourth-year wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. from their practice squad. Marshall Jr. failed to be activated to the 53-man roster despite the injuries at the position. He is a former second-round pick of the Carolina Panthers who has struggled to find his footing since his rookie contract expired. In his career, he has recorded 64 catches for 767 yards and one touchdown. This release does not impact the 49ers' passing game, as they appear to be fully healthy again. Marshall Jr. will look to land on another team looking for wide receiver help, but the former Carolina Panther is mainly a stash in deep dynasty formats for now.--Cody Pestino - RotoBaller

Free agent wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. is signing with the San Francisco 49ers, according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz. The former 2021 second-round selection was waived by the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday afternoon. Over his first three NFL seasons, the LSU product totaled just 767 yards and one score on 64 receptions. Marshall saw a career-high 490 yards in 2022 but took a significant step down last season as he tallied only 139 yards. The 24-year-old could push to earn the No.4 or 5 spot on the 49er depth chart or may be placed on the practice squad for the time being. Marshall could be a name to monitor in deeper dynasty leagues, as he has yet to earn an extended opportunity in the NFL despite being a high draft pick.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
