Jorge Polanco Belts 25th Homer
3 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and two RBI in Friday's loss to the Rays. Polanco got the scoring started for the Twins in the first inning with a solo homer off of Michael Wacha, then later collected an RBI double in the eighth inning. The homer, his 25th of the year, left his bat at 105.1 MPH. Polanco is slashing .276/.334/.498 with 25 homers, 80 RBI, 80 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases. The homers and RBI are new career-highs for Polanco, who has occupied a run-producing spot in the Twins lineup for much of the season. He'll continue to be a strong middle infield play in all formats.
