Rowan Wick Converts Second Save
Rowan Wick recorded his second save of the season in Friday's victory versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Wick blew his first save of the season on Thursday, but bounced back with three strikeouts in a quick 1-2-3 inning to secure a Cubs victory. Wick has now been called upon for the last three save opportunities for the Cubs and he has converted two of those chances. Wick now has a 3.72 ERA in 9 2/3 innings. Managers seeking saves can give Wick a look, but don't expect many opportunities with the Cubs struggling to rack up victories in the second half of the season.

Rowan Wick Records Seventh Save
Rowan Wick converted his seventh save of the season on Thursday as his club topped the Reds 4-2 in the Field Of Dreams Game from Dyersville. The right-hander picked up two strikeouts in the clean frame, throwing 12 of his 19 pitches as he continues to receive the save opportunities for the Cubs since David Robertson's departure. He's now strung together 11-straight scoreless outings to lower his ERA to 3.94 with 50 K through 48 IP, which isn't overwhelming, but the fact that he's closing gives him more than enough fantasy appeal.

Rowan Wick Notches Four-Out Save
Rowan Wick has been the favorite option in the ninth inning since the trade deadline. On Wednesday, Wick was asked to get a four-out save against the Washington Nationals. He gave up a single to the first batter he faced, but retired the rest of the hitters he saw. The 29-year-old has now put together 10 straight scoreless appearances for Chicago. He'll likely continue getting save chances down the stretch of the season. Fantasy managers who are in need of saves should check to see if Wick is available.

Rowan Wick Notches Fifth Save Of Season Monday
Rowan Wick picked up his fifth save of the season in Monday's 6-3 win over the Nationals. Wick came in to pitch the ninth inning up by three. He allowed a leadoff single, but then got a strikeout and a strikeout-caught stealing double play to end the game. This was the Cubs' first save opportunity since moving a number of bullpen arms at the trade deadline, so it looks like Wick will get the first shot to fill the void. The 29-year-old has now converted five of seven save opportunities with a 4.14 ERA, 9.07 K/9 rate, and 4.14 BB/9 rate. These numbers aren't great, but Wick is now worth a look in deeper roto leagues for fantasy managers chasing saves.

Rowan Wick Notches Second Save On Wednesday
Rowan Wick struck out two over two scoreless innings to earn the save during Wednesday's 7-5 win over the San Diego Padres. He entered the game in the eighth inning to protect a two-run lead. The 29-year-old retired all six batters he faced to earn his second save of the season. He owns a 0.77 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 14:5 K: BB across 11 2/3 innings in 2022. Wick should continue to see save opportunities while the team's primary closer David Robertson (undisclosed), is on the injured list. Fantasy managers searching for saves should add Wick in the short term with Robertson sidelined.
