Gleyber Torres Activated Off Injured List
3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (thumb) has been activated off the injured list ahead of Friday's game against the Orioles. Torres missed about a month of action with a sprained thumb but is expected to slot back in as the team's starting shortstop. He was hit by a pitch during Thursday's rehab game but is feeling well enough to return to the big club, so it shouldn't be of concern to fantasy managers. Torres has enjoyed success in his career against Baltimore, as he has slashed .354/.433/.739 with 16 homers, 40 RBI, and 34 runs scored in 47 games. Even in a down year, Torres should always be active when taking on the Orioles.
