3 years agoNew York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu helped the team defeat the Los Angeles Angels 4-1 on Wednesday. He went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks and a run scored in the game. He was also caught stealing in his only attempt. The veteran had a strong series overall against the Angels. Over the three-game set, he went 5-for-13 with four runs scored. It's been an underwhelming year for LeMahieu as he's slashing .267/.350/.368 with just nine home runs over 126 games. He's still showing great plate discipline this year as he ranks in the 96th percentile in whiff rate (14.6%) and in the 90th percentile in strikeout rate (14.3%).
