Saquon Barkley “Strong Chance” To Play In Week 1
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (knee) is trending in the right direction and has a "strong chance" to play Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. He continues to make progress from an ACL tear and has participated in full-team drills in training camp. The Giants won't decide until next week, and there is a chance the team could be cautious with their star running back and hold him out. According to head coach Joe Judge, Barkley has a few more key practices to go through. The 24-year-old tore his ACL in Week 2 of the 2020 season. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation but have a backup plan if Barkley cannot suit up for the regular-season opener. Devontae Booker would see an increased role against his former team if Barkley is ruled out. Stay tuned.
