Tony Romo Has High Praise For Zach Wilson
Zach Wilson. Romo said, "it won't be long before he is a top three-to-five quarterback." He added that he has Patrick Mahomes potential and that he will turn the New York Jets around. It appears Romo is all-in on Zach Wilson. Wilson completed 15-of-20 passes, and threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns in two preseason games against the Giants and Packers during the preseason. He showed a lot of potential in those games. He seemed calm against the Packers in Lambeau Field, and it looked like he knew the offense top to bottom. Wilson and the Jets will head to Carolina to face the Panthers in Week 1 of the regular season. Wilson is an intriguing late-round fantasy option, but it's always tough to trust a rookie quarterback.

Zach Wilson Reaches Agreement With Dolphins
Zach Wilson reached an agreement on Monday on a one-year, $6 million fully guaranteed deal with the Miami Dolphins that can grow to $10 million, sources tell ESPN's Adam Schefter. Wilson will return to the AFC East after he was taken second overall by the New York Jets in 2021 out of BYU. The 25-year-old flamed out in New York in his three seasons in the Big Apple before serving as the Broncos' No. 3 signal-caller last year behind rookie sensation Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham. The Broncos re-signed Stidham as their backup, leaving Wilson to sign with the Dolphins as insurance behind the injury-prone Tua Tagovailoa. Tyler Huntley, who spent the 2024 season as the backup to Tagovailoa in Miami, is an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The Dolphins will be in a dire situation if Wilson is forced to make starts for them in 2025.

Titans Interested In Mac Jones, Zach Wilson
Zach Wilson and Mac Jones, according to Titans beat reporter Buck Reising. Tennessee is likely in search of a new starting quarterback after former second-round pick Will Levis posted a 2-10 record in 2024 behind 2,091 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Wilson and Jones were both first-round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft and lasted just three seasons with the New York Jets and New England Patriots, respectively. The Titans could be looking to add competition to its quarterback room to pair with Levis, but there's also a chance the team will pick Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Zach Wilson Could Draw Interest As A Starter On Free-Agent Market
Zach Wilson figures to draw interest on the free-agent market this offseason as a player who could compete for a starting spot in training camp, according to The Athletic's Nick Kosmider. Wilson worked as Denver's third-stringer in 2024, but he's only 25 years old and has five years of NFL experience. In addition to Wilson, Jarrett Stidham is also a free agent, and Kosmider doesn't envision both QBs returning to back up Bo Nix for a second straight year. The Broncos would be interested in having one of Wilson/Stidham back in 2025 to back up Nix, though. Kosmider predicts the Broncos will re-sign Stidham on a one- or two-year deal and add a developmental QB prospect on Day 3 of the NFL draft or through college free agency. If Wilson leaves Denver, he'll most likely settle into a backup role somewhere else.

Zach Wilson Delivers Big Stat Line In Preseason Finale
Zach Wilson got pretty much all the run in the preseason finale against the Arizona Cardinals at Empower Field on Sunday with rookie first-round starter Bo Nix taking a seat. In the 38-13 beatdown of Arizona, Wilson went 16-for-25 passing for 251 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions while also carrying the ball two times for 22 yards and a rushing TD. Jarrett Stidham started the game and went 2-for-4 for 28 yards on just one possession. Wilson's best play of the day was a 46-yard touchdown pass to receiver Brandon Johnson in the fourth quarter. The 25-year-old QB also fumbled, but it was recovered by Denver. It was nice to see Wilson get some positive momentum heading into the regular season, but the former first-rounder is still expected to be Denver's QB3 behind Nix and Stidham when Week 1 arrives in two weeks.
