Matt Ryan Sits Out Preseason Finale
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan sat out the team's final preseason game against the Browns Sunday. It seemed like Ryan would see some action in the contest, though head coach Arthur Smith said in the postgame that there was no plan to play the veteran signal-caller this preseason, which makes sense considering the question marks behind him if he were to get injured. Ryan has been one of the more consistent fantasy quarterbacks over the last several years, throwing for at least 4,000 yards in each of the last 10 seasons, with 25 or more touchdowns in eight of those campaigns. Ryan isn't in the elite tier anymore, but he has enough weapons even without All-Pro Julio Jones to be solid QB2.
