3 years agoBoston Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez went 2-for-5 with an RBI in the team's 9-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. It was his third multi-hit game of the month. Vazquez has had a quiet year offensively, especially from a power perspective. He has hit just one home run since late June, despite seeing consistent playing time over the past two months. Over 109 games on the year, he has just five home runs to go along with a .343 slugging percentage. Last year, he hit seven home runs over 47 games while slugging .457. Vazquez's main attraction at this point is the fact that he's part of a potent Red Sox lineup.
