3 years agoLast week at the Northern Trust, Cameron Smith lost in a playoff in heartbreaking fashion. While it was an excellent ball-striking week for the Australian, Smith has not shown us enough consistency in that department for me to have any confidence that such a performance is repeatable the next week. The course fit is not ideal either. The weakest aspect of Smith's game is his driver, and driving the ball long and straight will be of upmost importance at Caves Valley. Over his last 36 rounds, Smith ranks below average in strokes gained off the tee, driving distance, and fairways gained. I would prefer to roster players with a little more off the tee prowess this week. --Andy Lack
