Brandon Belt Homers Twice Tuesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt had a huge day at the plate in Tuesday's 8-0 win over the Mets. Belt went 4-for-5 with two singles, two solo home runs, and three RBI. Belt hit his 18th and 19th HR off of Tylor Megill, one in the first inning and the other in the fourth. The 33-year-old has hit for power all season, slashing .247/.355/.556 with 40 RBI. He does have a 30.4% strikeout rate, but his high walk rate and slugging percentage make him a worthwhile fantasy player in points leagues.
