Larry Rountree III Doesn't Do Much In Week 2 Of Preseason
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers rookie running back Larry Rountree III struggled in Sunday's preseason game versus the San Francisco 49ers. Rountree got plenty of action with starter Austin Ekeler and veteran Justin Jackson sitting out this contest, but he didn't do much to separate himself this evening. The former Missouri Tiger was only able to pick up 12 yards on eight rushing attempts, but he did catch all four of his targets for 15 yards. Rountree is competing with Jackson and second-year running back Joshua Kelley to backup Austin Ekeler. Week 3 will be a big test for Rountree and Kelley and the winner could of that competition could wind up being one of the top insurance policies entering the season.
