Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Goes 3-For-5 In Win
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 3-for-5 on Sunday as his club went on to lose to the Tigers 5-3 in extra-innings. He swatted a trio of singles and picked up a clutch two-out RBI in the eighth as he's seen his bat get hot lately with a .387 BA over his past 10 games. For the year, Gurriel has put together a middling season with 14 HR, 43 runs, 53 RBI and a .270 BA in 107 games while getting the majority of his at-bats in the bottom-third of the Jays order. His bat won't hurt your fantasy roster, but there's likely better options out there to ride down the stretch run.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Sitting Out In New York
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is getting the day off in the Bronx on Tuesday against the hosting New York Yankees. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Comes Off The Injured List
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (calf) from the 10-day injured list on Friday and designated veteran infielder Luis Guillorme for assignment in a corresponding move. The Diamondbacks haven't released their starting lineup for Friday's contest against the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field, but there's a good chance Gurriel will be back in left field. The 30-year-old right-handed slugger will return from a calf strain that has kept him out since earlier this month. Fantasy managers still playing for something with the season in its final stretch will be hoping that Gurriel can pick up where he left off offensively. Going into Friday's contest, the D-backs are in the second wild-card spot for the National League postseason. Gurriel has only faced Milwaukee's starting pitch on Friday, right-hander Colin Rea, three times in his career and is hitless.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. To Play In Rehab Game On Saturday
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (calf) is scheduled to play in a minor-league rehab game on Saturday at Salt River Fields. Gurriel has been on the 10-day injured list since Sept. 3 with a calf strain, and manager Torey Lovullo said he will likely return to the big-league lineup after catcher Gabriel Moreno (groin), who could be back next week in the series against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. "If I had to choose between one or the other, I would say Gabi first then Lourdes," Lovullo said. "Their returns are coming and they are getting very close and they are both feeling very good." When he's ready, the 30-year-old will return to regular duties in left field in the desert. Veteran Randal Grichuk has seen more run in the starting lineup since Gurriel has been out. In 125 games this year, Gurriel has provided fantasy managers with 17 homers, 70 RBI and seven steals while hitting a respectable .274.
