Kenley Jansen Converts 27th Save
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen picked up his 27th save of the season on Saturday against the New York Mets. Jansen hit Kevin Pillar to open the frame, but then worked a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts to shut the door on the Mets. Jansen has been having a shaky second half, but he has now worked back-to-back games with two clean innings and two saves. The veteran is unlikely to be available on Sunday and relief pitchers Blake Treinen or Corey Knebel would likely be next up in a save situation. Jansen is 2-4 with a 2.86 ERA with 61 strikeouts in 50 1/3 innings and he should continue to be rostered in all formats.
