LCS/LEC DFS Lineup Picks for 8/22/21 - FanDuel, DraftKings League Of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan Roth's League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LCS/LEC DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 8/22/21. He discusses the LCS/LEC LoL slates and his top targets.

Welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LCS as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the playoffs. Today, I am focusing on the 2-game LCS/LEC slate with contests available on FanDuel and DraftKings.

We get a 2 game slate featuring one game from the LCS and one from the LEC. With it only being a 2 game slate I will only be providing analysis on one play per position and providing a secondary option.

Today I'll be bringing you my top League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for the slate beginning on Sunday, August 22nd, 2021 at 11:00 AM EST. You can check me out on Twitter @nolanroth10 and follow me for more LOL content!

Matchups

  • G2 (-175) vs. Fnatic
  • TSM vs. Cloud 9 (-230)

Captain

Rekkles - G2: G2 and Fnatic is a classic matchup in the LEC. The winner of this series locks in their spot at worlds, meanwhile the losing team will be eliminated from playoffs. Rekkles led the LEC in kills during the summer split and followed that up by leading G2 with a 34.6% kill share in their last series against Mad Lions. We know G2/FNC will be a bloodbath giving Rekkles one of the top upsides on the slate.

Secondary Option: Upset - FNC

TOP

Fudge - C9: Much like G2/FNC, C9/TSM is an LCS classic. Both teams are powerhouses in the LCS however, the losing team is eliminated from playoffs Fudge has had the counter pick in 70% of playoff games so far but only has a 17.9% kill share. He did have a 24.7% KS during the summer split and has had some solid games against TSM.

Secondary Option: Adam - FNC

JUNGLE

Jankos – G2: Jankos did not have a great series against MAD finishing with only 5 kills in the 4 games. With the caliber of player he is, he will not let that happen again. This series is going to have plenty of kills and Jankos led G2 in kill participation during the split.

Secondary Option: Blaber - C9, Bwipo - FNC

MID

Caps - G2: Caps is a legend in the LEC and if there was ever a time for him to step up and carry his team into the next round it's right now. G2 did drop both games to Fnatic during the split, but a 5 game series is a lot different than 1 game on a weekend. Caps has a 28.8% kill share in the playoffs and his Leblanc is crazy good.

Secondary Option: Perkz - C9

ADC

Rekkles - G2: If you haven't taken Rekkles as captain and are using a G2 Stack, play Rekkles here.

Secondary Option: Upset - FNC: I wouldn't use both in the same lineup, I would look to play Zven. However, whichever side of the G2/FNC game you are on you will want their ADC.

SUPPORT

Hylissang- FNC: Hylissang has been playing great this playoffs and always has huge upside at the support position. He is extremely aggressive on a team that loves to fight. That is a great combination for scoring well. I would caution using him in lineups with G2 players as it limits some of the potential.

Secondary Option: Mikyx - G2, Vulcan - C9

TEAM

C9: Either of the teams you have winning are in play here however I will be using 4 players from the G2/FNC game in all my lineups as the kill totals will likely be much higher. C9 has ripped off back-to-back 3-0 sweeps after looking really bad against TL and looks ready to make a push for the finals.

Secondary Option: G2

Final Thoughts

At this point in the playoffs, every game could go either way. I am leaning G2 and C9 with my core pieces and captain from the G2 side. Rekkles has only beaten FNC once since joining G2 so he would love to be the ones to elimainte them from playoffs with a series win here.
