DJ LeMahieu In Midst Of Long Home Run Drought
3 years agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu has been one of the most disappointing players in all of fantasy this year. Through 115 games on the season, LeMahieu is slashing .270/.351/.365 with seven home runs, 47 RBI and 57 runs. He's a career .302 hitter, so his current .270 batting average is disappointing, but it's been the complete lack of power that's really caused his fantasy value to plummet. LeMahieu hasn't homered since June 26, despite not missing any significant time over that nearly two-month stretch. He slugged just .291 in July, a month that saw him muster just four extra-base hits, all doubles. While LeMahieu should help fantasy managers in batting average most weeks going forward, he can't be counted on for much more than that.
