A.J. McCarron Struggles Against Titans
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback A.J. McCarron struggled in his first action with his new team Friday against the Titans. McCarron completed 5 of 12 passes for 36 yards and an interception- though it's worth noting that the Falcons offense as a whole was beset by penalties and pressure from the Titans' defense, likely skewing his results a bit. The Falcons signed the 30-year-old to a one-year, $1.2 million contract to be the backup to veteran Matt Ryan, a role that's been uneventful for much of the latter's career, as he's played all 16 games in 11 of 13 seasons. McCarron will look to have a better showing in the Dolphins.
