Chris Davis Announces Retirement Thursday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis announced his retirement from Major League Baseball on Thursday, according to Joe Trezza of MLB.com. Davis was on the injured list at the time of the announcement after undergoing season-ending hip surgery earlier this season. He had struggled at the plate over his last three seasons, and he ends his career with a .233/.315/.459 triple-slash line, 295 home runs, 780 RBI and 707 runs scored. If he was being rostered in deep dynasty formats as a potential bounce-back candidate in 2022, he can be safely dropped now.
