Jorge Polanco Triples, Homers In Wednesday's Win
3 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-4 with a triple and a solo home run in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the White Sox. Polanco hit the ball hard and in the air all night, drilling two flyouts before sending a ball 416 feet into the seats at 103.2 MPH. He later tripled, his second three-bagger of the year, though he was left stranded on third. Polanco is enjoying an excellent year, as he has slashed .274/.334/.494 with 21 homers, 62 RBI, 69 runs scored, and nine stolen bases. The 28-year-old is one homer shy of tying his career-high, thanks to his highest launch angle and fly ball rate since his breakout 2019 year, as well as career-best marks in barrel and hard-hit rate.
