One And Done Staff Picks Overview
Here at RotoBaller, we are always searching for ways to give our readers the best fantasy sports content possible. With that goal in mind, we are very proud to announce the weekly PGA “One and Done” column will be back for a third season.
In this feature, our golf staff of Joe Nicely, Spencer Aguiar, Andrew Putters and Josh Bennett will provide their weekly golf picks every Wednesday. The purpose of this article is to present you with alternative options to consider and hopefully make your selection a much easier process weekly. With that plan in mind, let's get started!
For an in-depth breakdown of the top DraftKings and FanDuel plays, check out Joe Nicely's weekly Horse For The Course that highlights the best fits for the week's course. And you can also find out who the smart money is on by checking out Spencer Aguiar's PGA DFS: Vegas Report every week. One and Done Selections - Wyndham Championship
Joe Nicely - Jason Kokrak
Alternate - Charl Schwartzel
As I limp to the finish line in this contest, I’m down to Hail Mary time. While this year’s Wyndham field can fairly be called stronger-than-usual, most of the “top” options on the board are unavailable to me. However, I do have one chance to gain a little leverage this week in Jason Kokrak, a player that Spencer, Josh, and Andrew have all already used in this contest. That opening, coupled with the fact that Kokrak has had a tremendous year and possesses wonderful course history at Sedgefield, is more than enough for me to pull the trigger on the big man this week.

Spencer Aguiar - Hideki Matsuyama
Alternate - Gary Woodland
Look, I think there is an argument to be made here of going an entirely different route than Hideki Matsuyama if you are in need of a hail mary with only three events left on the schedule - perhaps playing an option like Gary Woodland - but I am going to stick to the script and play the best choice my spreadsheet can find down the stretch. A lead of a little under three million dollars is not an insurmountable total Joe and Andrew can't overcome, but every dollar I add to the bank should make it more challenging for my closest competitors.
Hideki ranks first in strokes gained approach over his last 24 rounds and is also inside the top-15 in scoring on easy tracks, Donald Ross designs, par-four average between 400-450 yards, overall birdie or better percentage and weighted proximity from 125-175 yards. It is the first time my database has seen Matsuyama as the highest-priced player on the slate, and I will use it to my advantage in trying to lock up a potential top-10 payday in North Carolina, which hopefully helps to maintain my lead in the homestretch.

Josh Bennett - Brandt Snedeker
Alternate - Rickie Fowler
I need to make something happen in this contest quickly, so I’m jumping off the rails of what I’d typically do. Normally I’m looking for an elite kind of player, given how many weeks there are you usually don’t need to stray far from the top of the OWGR rankings. However, most of the really good golfers in this field I’ve already used, and I need to grab someone that I am pretty sure will be unique and maybe I can get lucky the rest of the guys get some MCs and I can get a good finish. I’m going with Brandt for a handful of reasons, but mostly it all comes down to the fit for this course. It isn’t demanding off the tee (short hitters litter the top of the past leaderboards), but it does require good approach play and putting. The only place Brandt struggles is off the tee, he’s been playing really well in all the other areas. He’s won this event before and has a couple of other top-five finishes, so I think this is a great time to take a flyer on him and hope the rest of the guys stay towards the top of the board for “safety”.
Yearly Earnings - $4,948,600
Yearly Cuts Made - 24/32
Andrew Putters - Louis Oosthuizen
Alternate - Kevin Kisner
This course should fit Louis' eyes well. He does everything pretty well, including hitting it straight and getting hot with the putter. These are the two main aspects of golf that will be important this weekend at Sedgefield Country Club. Louis has had trouble making it to the winner’s circle and has been close many times. I am looking for Louis to continue his recent strong play into this week and take the trophy.
*** Oosthuizen has withdrawn. Andrew is going with Kevin Kisner.
