Gleyber Torres Could Miss 10-20 Days
3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres (thumb) could miss 10-20 days of action with a left thumb sprain. Torres was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday and is slated to see a specialist, which will give the Yankees a better idea of a timetable for his return. There was some concern over Torres' thumb, so the fact that the Yankees don't believe it will sideline him for an extended period of time is definitely a bit of a relief for fantasy managers. Tyler Wade and Andrew Velazquez figure to see the majority of time at shortstop in Torres' absence, though neither carries much fantasy upside besides their ability to steal bases.
