Terrace Marshall Jr. The Early Favorite For Third Wideout Spot
3 years agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. has been impressive during the team's camp, making a case for himself as the team's third starting receiver. Joe Person of The Athletic predicts that Marshall is the early favorite to win that spot, noting that the 6-foot-2-inch wideout has shown off his big catch radius at practice, drawing praise from former Panthers great Steve Smith as well as head coach Matt Rhule. The 21-year-old had a knack for beating defenders in the air at LSU, hauling in 20 contested catches while earning an 82.3 red zone grade from Pro Football Focus. If named the team's third starting receiver, Marshall could be a wise late-round investment by fantasy managers.
