3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts (hip) exited Friday's 4-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels with right hip discomfort. He went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored before being removed in the seventh inning. The severity of Betts injury is unknown at this time, and he's considered day-to-day. Betts has dealt with injuries all season and recently spent time on the IL with a hip issue. The 28-year-old is slashing .277/.379/.524 with 17 homers, 44 RBI, 68 runs scored, and seven stolen bases over 86 in 2021. Betts started at second base the past few games but is expected to shift back to the outfield when newly acquired Trea Turner is activated from the COVID-19 injured list. Stay tuned.
