Aroldis Chapman Picks Up 23rd Save
3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman notched his 23rd save of the season in Thursday's win over the Mariners. Chapman did not make it easy on fantasy managers, needing 30 pitches to navigate the frame after putting the tying runs on base following a walk and a hit. He locked down the save opportunity after inducing a long fly ball to left field. While anything but smooth at times, Chapman has been much better since being reinstalled as the club's closer, going a perfect 7-for-7 in save chances. He should continue to see such opportunities pitching for a Yankee team that is slowly starting to string some wins together.
