Antonio Senzatela Activated From IL, Starting Thursday
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Antonio Senzatela (COVID-19) was activated from the COVID-19 injured list on Thursday and will start the series finale with the Cubs, the team announced on Twitter. Senzatela was placed on the injured list in mid-July, but has now passed the protocols to return to action. Over 17 starts this season, Senzatela is 2-8 with a 4.58 ERA, 1.399 WHIP and 15.7 percent strikeout rate over 94 1/3 innings of work. This could be a decent matchup in fantasy for Senzatela, as he's pitched better at Coors Field this year (3.75 ERA, 1.217 WHIP) than on the road (6.03 ERA, 1.718 WHIP). On top of that, the Cubs are slashing .234/.286/.387 over four games since the trade deadline. Managers in deeper formats will want to consider using him as a streaming option today.
