Red Sox Acquire Delino DeShields From Rangers
3 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have acquired outfielder Delino DeShields in a trade with the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash considerations. The 28-year-old DeShields will be heading to Triple-A Worcester as he joins the organization. DeShields, once one of the Rangers' top prospects, has spent the entire 2021 season at Triple-A Round Rock for the Rangers. Over 66 games at Round Rock, he slashed .263/.392/.368 with five home runs. He could be an option to give the Red Sox some outfield depth if rookie Jarren Duran continues to struggle.
