Matt Harvey Exits Wednesday’s Start Early
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher Matt Harvey (knee) was removed from Wednesday's start against the Yankees after tweaking his knee on a comebacker. He allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one across four innings before exiting. Harvey threw 63 pitches, firing 43 for strikes. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said he "hopes he's good to go for his next start." "Tweaked his knee in the third, and then it bit on him in the fourth." Harvey is considered day-to-day, and with the two extra days could make his next start. The 32-year-old owns a 6.13 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, and a 73:29 K:BB across 98 1/3 innings in 2021.
