Olamide Zaccheaus The Early Favorite For Slot Role
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus has been turning heads at training camp as he competes for the team's third starting receiver role. Entering his third year, Zaccheaus has only briefly flashed his potential at the NFL level, such as when he erupted for 106 yards and a touchdown in a November game last season. A ton of targets are now up for grabs in the Atlanta offense with All-Pro Julio Jones out of town- and the 23-year-old is certainly helping his case for a starting role, earning the praise of head coach Arthur Smith for being "dependable" and "valuable." Of course, Zaccheaus will have to keep up his performance in camp and carry it over to preseason action, though if he does, he might have some late-round appeal or waiver wire value in deeper leagues.
