Trevor Larnach Drives In A Pair
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Trevor Larnach went 1-for-4 with a two-run double in Wednesday's loss to the Reds. Larnach helped cut the deficit to two runs with a timely double in the eighth inning, his third RBI in the last three games. The 24-year-old endured a brutal July where he hit just .191 with two homers, striking out 43 times in 94 at-bats, though perhaps he is starting to break out of the slump. Larnach still owns a superb barrel rate and hits the ball hard, but his poor plate discipline and contact rate of just 63.7 percent are severely limiting his fantasy value right now. There will be better days for the lefty slugger in the future, though he's best avoided in season-long leagues at the moment.
