Lewis Brinson Drives In Five Runs On Monday
3 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson had a huge game on Monday, driving in five runs. The Marlins showed their faith in Brinson by having him bat fourth, and he delivered right away, hitting a grand slam in the first inning. He added a single and another RBI later, scoring two runs on the night. Brinson's final line was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and five RBI to go with no strikeouts. It was easily the best performance of the season for Brinson, who has been showing signs of life since his most recent call up. With the Marlins fighting the Nationals only for who won't finish in last place, Brinson should get plenty of opportunities to play for the remainder of the season. He's always had upside, he's just yet to come anywhere close to it. That makes him a high risk fantasy asset, but certainly one with a high ceiling.
