San Diego Padres outfielder Trent Grisham is without a hit in his last seven contests. The 23-year-old is mired in a deep slump, batting just .133 (8-for-60) with one extra-base hit in the past 18 games. The downturn has dragged his season slash to .246/.336/.426 to accompany 11 homers, nine steals and 76 runs-plus-RBI in 324 plate appearances. Grisham has been a frustrating hold for fantasy managers after two lengthy IL stints prior to the current slide. The addition of outfielder Jake Marisnick adds another risk factor to his opportunity set if he continues to struggle. Still providing excellent defense with offensive upside to rebound, Grisham should be temporarily benched but may still provide OF3 value heading into August.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller

The New York Yankees placed outfielder Trent Grisham on the paternity list prior to Monday's series opener in Cleveland against the Guardians. Infield prospect Jorbit Vivas was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. Grisham will most likely miss the entire three-game series against the Guardians this week before most likely rejoining the team for Friday's series opener in the Bronx against the division-rival Toronto Blue Jays. After hitting under .200 each of the previous three seasons with the Yankees and San Diego Padres, Grisham has been playing well above expectations in the first 20 games of the 2025 season in New York, slashing .320/.393/.700 with a 1.093 OPS, six home runs and 13 RBI in 56 plate appearances as the team's fourth outfielder. The 28-year-old is already three homers shy of his total from 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

New York Yankees outfielder Trent Grisham had his power bat working for him during Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Grisham took left-hander Bailey Falter deep in the third inning. He followed that up with a three-run shot off Falter in the fifth inning. Grisham has been on fire lately considering he's 6-for-11 at the plate across his last three games. During that span, Grisham has three homers and seven RBI, so fantasy managers should play him while he's hot at the plate.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

New York Yankees outfielder Trent Grisham had a big night in a 9-7 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. Grisham went 3-for-4 with a double, a homer, and three RBI to help lead New York to the win. Grisham's homer was a two-run blast off Arizona starter Merrill Kelly in the third inning while his other RBI came on a double in the first inning. The veteran outfielder has been swinging a hot bat in limited playing time for the Yankees this season as he has five hits in 10 at-bats thus far. He will look to stay hot as the Yankees open up a weekend series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.--Matt T - RotoBaller

New York Yankees outfielder Trent Grisham (hamstring) is currently behind schedule due to injury, according to manager Aaron Boone. The organization didn't comment on the severity of the issue, so fantasy managers will need to check back for that information. For now, Grisham is day-to-day and will just get a late start to spring training along with Giancarlo Stanton (elbow) who is also sidelined right now. When healthy, Grisham will probably be the fourth outfielder in New York. Grisham is coming off a rough 2024 season and hasn't been able to hit his weight in a few seasons. Despite that, Grisham does normally draw walks and plays above average defense. He's unlikely to be a valuable fantasy asset until he can improve at the plate.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
