Anthony Rizzo Homers Again, Reaches Base Five Times Saturday
3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo went 2-for-2 with three runs scored, two walks, and a solo homer in Saturday's victory over Miami. Rizzo continued his recent stretch of hot hitting, belting his second straight homer as a member of the Yankees, this one traveling 410 feet at 108.7 MPH. He also ripped a 103.2 MPH single and was hit by a pitch, becoming the first Yankee in franchise history to reach base at least eight times in the first two games with the club. The 32-year-old is riding an eight-game hitting streak- carrying over from Chicago- during which he has slugged five homers, scored 11 runs, and driven in seven. Rizzo looks like he'll be one of the better fantasy options at his position down the stretch.
