Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell went 3-for-4 with a walk, three runs, three RBI, and was a triple shy of the cycle with Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday. He is now slashing .286/.338/.575 with 21 HRs, but has an inflated 29.0 K%. Strikeouts have been a problem for Adell the past few years, including a 41.7 K% in 2020 with the Angels. He has improved his strikeout numbers lately, posting a 23.1 K% since the start of July. He has yet to get another shot at the big league level this season, but if he can maintain the improvements he's made, he will eventually get another chance at becoming the slugging outfielder the Angels envisioned when he was their top prospect.--Spencer Seguin

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell (hip) is returning to the starting lineup on Tuesday evening when the Angels face the St. Louis Cardinals. Adell has missed the previous two contests due to this injury. However, this injury was not serious, and he will make a quick return to the starting nine. This evening, he will cover center field and bat in the eight-hole. Over the first two games of the campaign, Adell has gone 2-for-4 with a 1:1 BB:K. Last summer, the former 10th overall pick began to turn the corner on his slow start to his MLB career. Over 130 contests, Adell posted a .207/.280/.402 line but launched a career-best 20 long balls and tallied 15 doubles. He also swiped a career-high 15 bags. This evening, he is worth a look as a value play in DFS facing St. Louis southpaw Matthew Liberatore.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell (hip) remains out of the starting lineup on Monday for the start of a series in St. Louis against the Cardinals. Kyren Paris will make another start in center field and will hit eighth against Cardinals right-hander Miles Mikolas. Adell is dealing with tightness in his left hip. While it's not considered a very serious injury, it will keep the 25-year-old out of action for the second straight day. For what it's worth, Adell says he's improving and plans to return to the field on Tuesday at Busch Stadium. In just two games played so far in 2025, Adell has gone 2-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in last weekend's series against the Chicago White Sox. Paris is 2-for-6 with a solo home run, a stolen base and two strikeouts in his three games played. He has never faced Mikolas in his career and will be a low-upside DFS option in his second straight start in center.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell (hip) is feeling better and hopes to return to the starting nine on Monday when the Angels face the St. Louis Cardinals. Adell was removed early from Saturday's contest after suffering this hip injury. However, it does not sound serious, and Adell may only miss one game. On Sunday, Kyren Paris will cover center field and bat in the nine-hole. Last season, the 25-year-old began to turn the corner on his slow start to his MLB career. Adell launched a career-best 20 long balls and swiped 15 bags. However, he held a high 27.9 percent strikeout rate and drew walks at a modest 7.9 percent walk rate. Adell also generated an elite 76.7 mph bat speed and placed in the 86th percentile in sprint speed. When he does return, he is a viable depth outfielder in category leagues.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell (leg) was pulled from Saturday's contest with an apparent leg injury. Adell sustained this injury while running to first base. He was replaced by Kyren Paris. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next contests on Sunday afternoon. Before exiting, Adell tallied one hit and a walk. During his first game of the campaign, Adell went 1-for-3 in the batter's box with a strikeout. The former 10th overall pick began to turn the corner at the major league level last season as he went deep 20 times and added 15 doubles. He generated a strong 11.7 percent barrel rate and placed in the 98th percentile in bat speed. If Adell were to miss time, Paris would likely see most of the opportunities in right field.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
