Corey Seager Aiming Weekend Return
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager (hand) could be activated from the injured list during the team's upcoming weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He's been sidelined since mid-May due to a fractured right hand. "Seager felt really good and recovered the right way," said manager Dave Roberts. "Hoping for an activation this weekend in Arizona." The 27-year-old has progressed well in his recovery, and with all the injuries the Dodgers have suffered recently, he might not need to go on a rehab assignment as previously reported. Seager slashed .265/.361/.422 with four home runs, 22 RBI, and one stolen base over 169 plate appearances in 2021. Fantasy managers who stashed Seager throughout the season could be getting the Dodgers shortstop sooner than expected. Stay tuned.
