3 years agoThe Texas Rangers have traded first baseman/outfielder Joey Gallo to the New York Yankees in exchange for right-hander Glen Otto, second baseman Ezequiel Duran, shortstop Josh Smith, and outfielder Trevor Hauver. The 27-year-old will head to New York, where his elite power should play well with the short porch in right field at Yankees stadium. He is slashing .223/379/.490 with 25 home runs, 55 RBI, 74 walks, and 57 runs scored over 95 games in 2021. The former Texas Ranger is under team control in 2022. Gallo's fantasy value doesn't change much with the trade, but he remains a strong option for homers, runs, and RBI the rest of the season.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
