Toronto Blue Jays @ Boston Red Sox
O/U: 8.5 | Moneyline: BOS +126
TOR: Robbie Ray | BOS: Garrett Richards
A replay of last night's game which ended up being rained out, Robbie Ray will face off against Garrett Richards. This gives Toronto a nice pitching edge in game one here. The Sox did see Ray well his last time out, scoring four runs in five innings. However, I expect a turnaround for Ray in this one, as he hasn't given up 4+ runs in back to back starts all season.
Garrett Richards takes the hill coming off of two mediocre starts that the Red Sox actually won behind him, but not to any of his doing. He's given up 7 earned in his last two starts in just 10 2/3 innings. He's given up at least two runs in every start since June 1, and this will be the fifth time this season he's had to face the Blue Jays.
This is good value on the Blue Jays and I will be taking them in game one at a solid price.
Pick: Blue Jays Moneyline (-148) FanDuel Sportsbook
Chicago White Sox @ Kansas City Royals
O/U: 9.5 | Moneyline: KC +150
CHW: Lucas Giolito | KC: Kris Bubic
These teams meet in game three of the series after splitting the first two games one apiece. Lucas Giolito will take the mound for Chicago, and he's been fantastic since his hiccup start against Detroit on Independence Day. He's allowed just four runs in his last 20 1/3 innings, and while his strikeout numbers haven't necessarily been there, he's finding ways to get guys out.
Kris Bubic takes the mound for the Royals, and he's been solid in his last two outings. He's thrown two straight six-inning quality starts, allowing just two runs combined. This season as a whole, though, he's been nothing if not inconsistent. Today he has to square up against a Chicago lineup that has a .765 OPS against left-handed pitching, good for fifth in the bigs.
There's a lot of juice here, but I'm very confident in Chicago taking care of business today. I'm on the Pale Hose.
Picks: White Sox Moneyline (-178), FanDuel Sportsbook
