Sandy Alcantara Returns With A Quality Start
3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara returned from the bereavement list with a win and a quality start. Pitching against the Baltimore Orioles, Alcantara lasted six innings, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five. He gave up two home runs, but was able to limit damage, as both were solo home runs. The win improved Alcantara's record to 6-9 and moved his ERA to 3.29. He's one of the few Marlins who is expected to be untouchable at the trade deadline, and in fact recent rumors have said that he and the Marlins are discussing a contract extension.
