Bruce Zimmermann Throws Scoreless Rehab Inning Monday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Bruce Zimmermann (biceps) threw a scoreless inning in a Monday Florida Complex League game, allowing one hit with a strikeout. The game was later suspended due to rain. The 26-year-old has been on the injured list since mid-June with left biceps tendinitis, but he is expected back with the O's by early to mid-August, per MASNSports.com's Roch Kubatko. He hasn't been great but definitely hasn't been one of the O's worst starters, going 4-4 with a 4.83 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and a 20.2% strikeout rate. While the O's will be glad to have him back, Zimmermann offers little fantasy value at this time.
