David Bote Homers In Return
3 years agoChicago Cubs infielder David Bote went 1-for-3 with a walk and two-run home run in his return to the lineup on Sunday versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Bote returned from a separated shoulder that had sidelined him since May 29. Bote has versatility around the diamond and that will keep him in the lineup for most games, but he hasn't produced much in general. Bote is now hitting .204 with six home runs and 25 RBI. Bote is in line for more at-bats with shortstop Javier Baez, first baseman Anthony Rizzo and infielder/outfielder Kris Bryant all being trade candidates, but can be left on the waiver wire for now.
